Promotions

  • Reward points for purchases: MCFCU debit and credit cards earn points on every purchase, redeemable for cash back, gift cards, plane tickets, and merchandise.

  • Balance transfer offer: New credit cardholders can transfer balances and pay 0% APR for 18 months (3% fee, $5 minimum). The standard variable APR applies afterward, and the offer is subject to credit approval and membership eligibility.

Upcoming Events and Dates

  • International Credit Union Day: Thursday, Oct 15. Members who stop by a branch get swag and a drawing entry. One winner per branch receives a YETI cup and a $50 coffee shop gift card.

  • 3rd Annual Holiday Fair: Saturday, Dec 5, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. at the main office in Kehalani Village Center, featuring member entrepreneurs. Entry is free with a food donation for the Maui Food Bank.

  • Holiday closures: Oct 12, Nov 11, Nov 26, Dec 25, and Jan 1, plus 1:00 p.m. early closures on Dec 24 and Dec 31.

Annual Notices

  • Board nominations: Petitions require signatures from 1% of members and are due January 24, 2027. The nominees for the three open seats are Rhonda Loo, Glenn Okimoto, and Richelle Lu.

  • Annual Meeting: Thursday, March 4, 2027, at the Main Office and Wailuku Branch (business meeting only).

  • Audit letters: Some members may be randomly selected to confirm their share and loan balances by mail, with replies going to the auditors (Kwock & Company CPAs).

  • IRA information: Traditional IRA owners must take Required Minimum Distributions. Members can call (808) 244-7968 to set up or change their plan and can adjust tax withholding via the RMD Payment Election Form.

  • Christmas Savings: Funds transfer automatically to the member's specified account by November 1, and existing accounts renew automatically.

Community

  • Charity golf tournament: The Credit Unions of Maui held their 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. 144 golfers raised $50,000 for Maui Junior Golf Association, bringing the coalition's total since 2014 to over $350,000.

  • Scholarships: Ten local students each received $1,000

  • Food & Funds Drive (Oct–Nov): Members can drop off nonperishable food or donate money at any branch, with all contributions going to the Maui Food Bank.

  • Angel Tree: In partnership with The Salvation Army, Angel Trees at each branch let members pick up a tag, buy the requested gift, and return it to the same branch.

  • New CIO: Henry Arroyo joins as Chief Information Officer
