Lahaina Branch: Operations Manager

Lead our Member Services operations and a team that makes sure every member gets accurate, professional, and timely service.

What You’ll Do

Run Member Services operations: Oversee payroll direct deposits, Certificate and IRA dividend validation, Fedline functions, wire transfers, and federal tax deposits.
Keep us accurate and compliant: Manage reporting and data collection, posting and balancing, tax reporting for Certificates and IRAs, IRS withholdings, and Truth in Savings compliance.
Lead and develop your team: Set goals, schedule and train staff, hold regular team meetings and one-on-ones, and conduct performance reviews.
Take care of our members: Help with complex or sensitive member issues, share products and services that fit members’ needs, and uphold the credit union’s reputation.
Improve how we work: Develop and recommend policies and procedures, help test new products, and support month-end validations.
Collaborate across the credit union: Coordinate with Information Systems, Accounting, and branch staff on regulation changes, teller procedures, and product training. Keep management informed with monthly progress reports.

What We're Looking For

Experience: 5+ years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred
Education: College degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Knowledge: ACH, direct deposit, Truth in Savings, Federal Reserve, payroll, Fedline, IRA, Certificate, and teller functions, plus a solid understanding of credit union information systems, accounting, and related regulations
Skills:
- Planning, organizing, and directing work
- Ability to supervise and train others
- Excellent communication and strong public relations skills
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with a PC, 10-key, and phone

What You'll Do

As a Member Service Representative, you’ll be one of the first people our members interact with when they walk through our doors. At Maui County FCU, we believe every member deserves trusted, compassionate service and the tools they need to achieve financial well-being at every stage of life, and you’ll play a direct role in making that happen every single day.

Your days will be busy and varied. Here’s what to expect:

Handle transactions with excellence: Process everyday banking needs like deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wire transfers, cashier’s checks, and money orders. Balance your cash drawer at the end of each day and make sure everything adds up. Your commitment to accuracy and doing things right the first time reflects the excellence our members count on.
Help members with integrity and compassion: Open and close accounts, answer questions, solve problems, and make sure every member leaves feeling heard and helped. Whether it’s sorting out a checking account issue, explaining our latest products, or simply taking the time to listen, you’ll approach every interaction with honesty and genuine care, because our members trust us with what matters most to them: their financial lives.
Grow with members at every stage of life: From a kid opening their first account to a retiree managing their savings, you’ll connect members with the right products and services for wherever they are in their financial journey. By learning what our members need and thoughtfully recommending solutions, you help turn everyday transactions into lasting financial confidence.
Stay connected with your team through collaboration: Work closely with your supervisor and fellow staff, keep everyone in the loop, and pitch in wherever needed. When we work together with respect and a shared purpose, we do our best work, for each other and for the members we serve.
Take care of the little things that matter: Handle phone calls, maintain accurate records, keep your workspace tidy and secure, and assist with drive-up and night drop services as needed. Every detail, no matter how small, contributes to the seamless, professional experience our members deserve.

What We're Looking For

A high school diploma or equivalent
Friendly, professional communication skills
Basic math ability and comfort with computers and office equipment
