October 2026

Credit Unions of Maui Kick Off Annual Food & Funds Drive to Benefit Maui Food Bank

Now through November 30, help us fill the pantry shelves for our neighbors in need.

The Credit Unions of Maui are proud to announce the return of our annual Food & Funds Drive, running October 1 through November 30. Together, we’re partnering with the Maui Food Bank to collect nonperishable food and financial donations for families across Maui County as the holiday season approaches.

Credit unions exist to put people before profit, and that includes looking out for the neighbors who share our community. Every can, box, and dollar you give goes directly toward helping local families put food on the table.

Top 7 Most Needed Items

Please donate nonperishable, unopened items that are within their expiration date. Maui Food Bank’s most needed items are:

  1. Financial contributions

  2. Canned meat and tuna

  3. Canned fruits and vegetables

  4. Canned meals and soups with protein

  5. Cereal

  6. Rice

  7. Pasta

Where to Drop Off Donations

Food donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at any of our participating Maui credit unions:

  • Kahului Federal Credit Union

  • Maui County Federal Credit Union (Lahaina and Wailuku branches, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Kahului branch, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

  • Maui Federal Credit Union (MauiFed)

  • Maui Teachers Federal Credit Union

  • Valley Isle Community Federal Credit Union

  • Wailuku Federal Credit Union

Please check with your local branch for its address and hours.

Give Online

Can’t make it to a branch? You can make a financial donation through the Credit Unions of Maui Food Bank fundraiser: Donate online here. Financial gifts are especially powerful because the food bank can stretch each dollar to purchase and distribute far more food than a single shopping trip allows.

About Maui Food Bank

Maui Food Bank has been serving the people of Maui County since 1983. As the island’s primary hunger-relief organization, it collects, stores, and distributes food through a network of partner agencies and community programs on Maui, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi, supported by dedicated staff and volunteers. Its mission is simple: make sure no one in our community goes hungry.
