Adopt a Backpack

Donate school supplies and backpacks at our branches in Kahului,  Lahaina and Wailuku from June 20 until July 21, 2023 to support The Salvation Army Maui’s annual efforts to provide backpacks filled with school gat a list of school supplies needed here. Donations can be dropped off at Maui County FCU branches. The Kahului Branch is located at Maui Marketplace, and opened Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, and Saturday 9am – 1pm. The Lahaina branch is located at 270 Lahainaluna Road in Lahaina, and open Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. The Wailuku branch is located at 224 Kehalani Village Drive, open Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. Donations for adopting a backpack are also being accepted and are 100% tax deductible.

Kokua for a Cause

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’ll be supporting Maui Health Foundation's Kokua for a Cause campaign by raising funds for the third year in a row to help prevent breast cancer in women on Maui. Last year, because of the generosity of over 400 members and our efforts, we were able to raise over $5,000 to provide breast cancer screenings or other vital, life-saving procedures for women on Maui. Let's do it again this year!

September 1 - 30, 2022

Food & Funds Drive for Maui Food Bank

Join us in raising food and funds for the Maui Food Bank along with the five other Maui chartered credit unions. We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food at our Lahaina and Wailuku branches. Items that are most needed are 5 lb. bags of rice, canned proteins (meat, tuna, beans), canned fruits and veggies, pasta, and cereal. Make a monetary donation here or text HICU5 to 71777.⁠ ⁠Donations ensure that keiki receive the nutrition they need; kupuna don't have to choose between nutritious meals and medications; and parents don't have to put paying for electricity ahead of feeding their families. With each dollar donated to the Maui Food Bank, they can provide 4 meals to hungry people on the islands of Maui, Molokai, and Lanai

Help Prevent Child Abuse, Neglect

Through Maui County Federal Credit Union (FCU)’s Community Giving Program, employees selected and raised funds for the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui through the month of May. Thanks to the generosity of our members and employees, $7,149.02 was raised to help prevent children from abuse and neglect throughout Maui County. Read More.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree

Help bring Christmas joy to keiki and kupuna in need by picking up Angel Tree tags at any of our branches, purchasing the requested gifts and then returning the gifts to the same branch with the tag by December 11, 2021. Monetary donations for The Salvation Army are also being accepted at all Maui County FCU branches and are 100% tax deductible. Get more details here.

Join us in helping spruce up the garden at The Maui Farm, a wonderful nonprofit that provides farm-based, family-centered programs that teach essential life skills for self-sufficient living. We offer services to single mothers and their children in a safe neighborhood setting, where individuals and families are nurtured to develop their full potential. Volunteer spots are limited. Feed My Sheep Food Distribution in Lahaina

Join us in helping Maui nonprofit, Feed My Sheep, distribute fresh produce, meat and non-perishable food items to Lahaina residents. The Lahaina Mobile Food Distribution will be at the parking lot at the corner of Dickenson St. and Wainee St. in Lahaina Town. Volunteer spots are limited.
