Member Service Representative (Teller)

Maui County Federal Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative I (MSR I) to provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service to our members. This entry-level position is responsible for a variety of paying and receiving functions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances. MSR I also assists with account openings and maintenance, answers questions about credit union products and services, and helps resolve member issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, wires, cashier’s checks, and money orders.

  • Balance daily transactions, verify cash totals, and promptly resolve discrepancies.

  • Open and close accounts, renew certificates, and assist members with account maintenance or bookkeeping concerns.

  • Provide accurate information about credit union services, products, and policies.

  • Cross-sell credit union products and services to meet members’ financial needs.

  • Respond to member inquiries in person, by phone, or by mail, resolving issues professionally and efficiently.

  • Perform drive-up and night drop functions, clerical tasks, and other assigned duties.

  • Ensure that member privacy and confidentiality are always maintained.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • No prior experience necessary; skills are generally acquired within the first 12 months of employment.

  • Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.

  • Ability to operate standard office and banking equipment (computer, cash/coin counters, copy machine, etc.).

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Senior MSR and Operations Manager.
