Member Service Representative (Teller)

The Member Service Representative I (teller) is responsible for handling a variety of member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances. This entry-level role ensures accurate transaction processing, balances daily cash totals, and provides essential member services such as account opening, closing, and resolving checking account issues. The position requires excellent customer service, cross-selling of Credit Union products, and performing clerical duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions, including deposits, loan payments, and withdrawals.

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering member inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with account maintenance.

  • Actively promote Credit Union products and services to meet members' financial needs.

  • Maintain accurate transaction records, balance cash totals, and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist with account management, such as opening/closing accounts and handling payroll deductions.

  • Perform side-jobs and clerical duties as required, including drive-up service and night drop functions.
