Member Care Specialist

Maui County Federal Credit Union is looking for a Member Care Specialist to provide exceptional service and support to members through our non-branch service channels—phone, email, chat, and mail. This role ensures members receive timely and accurate assistance with their accounts, digital banking, and everyday financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service across phone, email, chat, and text channels, providing accurate information and assistance.

  • Support members with transactions, account maintenance, debit/credit cards, ACH, wire transfers, bill pay, mobile deposit, and online banking.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve member issues, escalate when needed, and ensure inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.

  • Perform back-office support such as address changes, return mail, CD-related tasks, fraud investigations, verification of deposits, dormant accounts, levies, garnishments, and IRA distributions.

  • Educate members about alternative delivery channels and digital services to improve convenience and strengthen member relationships.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and member experiences, recommending innovative solutions.

  • Uphold the Credit Union’s values by providing confidential, accurate, and professional support in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; credit union or loan experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of credit union products, services, and systems.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and core processing systems.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Member Care Supervisor.
