Adapting to Meet New Challenges and Your NeedsA Message from Our President/CEO
May 29, 2020
I would like to give you a heartfelt 'thanks' for your patience and understanding as we adjust our operations to keep you safe while keeping our doors open to continue meeting your financial service needs. Mahalo to all of you who have taken the time to enroll in online banking or have started using Maui County FCU’s mobile app to conveniently deposit checks, make a loan payment, check balances and transfer funds at any time from the comfort and safety of your home.
Our highest priority is always your health and safety, and that of our employees. In doing so, we are taking a gradual approach to getting back to normal hours of operation across all three of our branches. Please check our website at www.mauicountyfcu.org for the most current branch hours and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
As businesses reopen, we will continue to implement measures to ensure that we are taking precautions to protect you and our employees while remaining operational and providing quality service. These precautions include creating more space between member service representatives by opening every other teller window at branches, providing plexiglass partitions for employees that you interact with, requiring you and employees to wear masks in public spaces, and disinfecting high touch surfaces frequently.
I am truly grateful to our dedicated employees who have gone above and beyond to meet the challenges of this crisis and are the heart of our workforce. They have been instrumental in enabling Maui County FCU to adapt to the changing times including being able to temporarily convert the Kahului branch into a call center to support a 400% increase in the number of member calls. Employees will continue to monitor the number of members in the branch so that there are no more than five members in the branch at a time and ensure that six feet is maintained between members.
We ask for your continued assistance in verifying your identity for in-branch withdrawals. If a member service representative does not immediately recognize you because you are wearing a face mask, they will ask you to briefly lower your mask in order to verify your identity.
Our commitment to you and our Maui County community remains unwavering. We stand by you to continue supporting your financial needs in whatever way we can, including loan deferrals and disaster relief loans.
I know that we will come out of this crisis stronger together. Please take care and stay well.
