With deep respect and heartfelt aloha, we honor the life and legacy of Frederico “Fred” Asuncion, a longtime member, volunteer, and guiding force in Hawai'i’s credit union movement. He passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 89.

The Nominating Committee of the Board consisting of Rhonda Loo, Richelle Lu, and Glenn Okimoto submits the following nominees for the 2026 Annual Meeting election (four to be elected): Christian Apo Takayama, Moana Lutey, Edwin Okubo, and Kirsten Szabo.

Maui County Federal Credit Union awarded $10,000 in scholarships to 10 local students, continuing its 25-year tradition of supporting higher education and empowering Maui’s future leaders. With this year’s awards, MCFCU’s scholarship contributions total more than $304,000 invested in the community.
