Helping Maui's Keiki Return to School with the Tools They Need to Succeed

Thanks to the generosity of our members, employees, and community, this year’s Adopt a Backpack school supply drive in partnership with The Salvation Army was a huge success! Together, we collected 1,782 school supplies and raised over $2,000 to help Maui’s keiki start the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.

Branch Collection Totals:

  • Wailuku Branch: 837 items

  • Kahului Branch: 339 items

  • Lahaina Branch: 606 items

These donations will be distributed through The Salvation Army’s Adopt a Backpack program, ensuring that every item stays right here in Maui County to benefit local students and families.

When our community comes together, we can make a real difference,” said Gary Fukuroku, President & CEO of Maui County Federal Credit Union. “Thanks to your generosity, hundreds of students will be able to start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

Mahalo to everyone who donated supplies, gave monetary contributions, or helped spread the word. Your kindness helps build a brighter future for Maui’s keiki!
