Emergency Financial Relief Program

We understand the hardship the government shutdown brings to our federal employee members and their families.

To help, Maui County FCU has launched an Emergency Financial Relief Program offering low-rate personal loans, loan payment deferrals, and waived early withdrawal fees on term shares for those directly affected.

Emergency Relief Loan*

Access emergency funding up to $5,000 with a term of up to 60 months. No payments required for the first month and no prepayment penalty for qualifying members.

Loan Deferrals **

Qualifying members may defer their Maui County FCU loan payments for one to three months on select consumer loans. Interest will continue to accrue, and the loan term may extend by up to three months, resulting in a final balloon payment. Deferral Options for Mortgage loans, HELOCs, and revolving lines of credit may vary. Please contact Maui County FCU for details.

If you have a Maui County FCU share certificate and need access to your funds, you may make a full or partial withdrawal without an early withdrawal penalty.

All loans require current Maui County FCU membership as of 10/16/25, Hawaii residency, and underwriting approval. Valid as of 10/16/25. Rates, terms, and conditions are subject to change without notice. Refinancing of an existing Maui County Federal Credit Union loan is not eligible for this rate.

Payment example: Loan amount of $3,000.00 at 3.875% for 36 months would have a monthly principal and interest payment of $88.41.
