About the Role
We're looking for an experienced technology leader to serve as our Chief Information Officer. In this executive-level position, you'll shape the future of our technology, cybersecurity, and digital strategy — all while keeping our members' experience and data security at the forefront.
What You'll Do
Lead Our Technology Strategy — Develop and drive a long-term technology roadmap that supports our growth and aligns with the credit union's goals. Collaborate with the Board and executive team to keep technology and business priorities in sync.
Protect Our Members and Systems — Own our cybersecurity and information security programs, including disaster recovery and business continuity. Ensure we stay fully compliant with financial industry regulations such as FFIEC and NCUA standards.
Manage Our Systems and Infrastructure — Oversee core banking systems, digital banking platforms, cloud services, and enterprise applications. Keep our systems reliable, secure, and modern.
Turn Data Into Insight — Build out our data governance and analytics capabilities to help leadership make smarter decisions and deliver a better experience for members.
Manage Vendors and Budgets — Oversee IT contracts, vendor relationships, and technology spending to ensure we get the most value from every investment.
Develop Our IT Team — Lead and mentor a dedicated IT team, fostering a culture of security awareness, accountability, and continuous learning.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, including senior-level roles
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and technology risk management; experience with core banking systems is a plus
- Skills: Strong communicator, strategic thinker, and effective people leader with excellent project management abilities
Work Environment
This is primarily an office-based role with standard business hours. Some flexibility is required for urgent situations, occasional evening or weekend meetings, and regulatory sessions.
